Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction
Note: For the 2021-2022 academic year, all tutoring and supplemental instruction sessions will be held online.
The Learning Center offers a variety of online tutoring services designed to help you succeed at DBE.
Individual Tutoring sessions are one-on-one appointment-based sessions lasting 30-minutes. Students can make additional appointments as needed. Tutoring can help to understand a specific topic as well as help you with exam preparations. Preparing for your individual tutoring sessions:
Select an environment that is quiet and productive.
Do as much work as you can before engaging an online tutor.
Determine specific questions you would like to discuss with the tutor.
Note: For the Fall term, only Elementary and Beginner group students can benefit from the tutoring services.
Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a series of regular study sessions offered for DBE students. In order to participate in online SI sessions, you will need a webcam, a microphone, speakers and internet connection. For more details about dates and times SI is available, please click the "View Our Supplemental Instruction Schedule" button below.
SI sessions are:
- Free, voluntary and open to all students
- An opportunity to improve your understanding of material and grades
- An excellent way to meet other students in the same group
- Available in numerous subjects.
